Oil price rising on chances for Greek bailout (AP)
NEW YORK ? Oil prices climbed to the highest point since late July on Monday as traders focused on declining U.S. petroleum supplies and also bet that Europe would solve its debt crisis.
Here's a breakdown of how energy prices traded:
On the New York Mercantile Exchange:
Crude: added $1.26 to end at $95.52 per barrel;
Gasoline: rose 6.48 cents to finish at $2.7282 per gallon;
Heating oil: lost 4.91 cents to end at $3.1198 per gallon;
Natural gas: fell 8.7 cents to finish at $3.696 per 1,000 cubic feet.
On the ICE futures exchange:
Brent crude: added $2.59 to end at $114.56 per barrel.
