Germany's Thoughts On Economic Stimulation : News & Society
You are here: Home / Economics / Germany?s Thoughts On Economic Stimulation
Here?s something fascinating in?business news?these days. The country of Germany is going to cut taxes as it goes forth with plans to stabilize its economy. According to Germany?s Chancellor Angela Merkel, this will help stimulate the economy throughout Europe. She also said that Germany is feeling the crunch created by the collapsed economy in Southern Europe.
She also stated that her nation feels the responsibility of doing whatever it takes, including tax cuts, to stimulate domestic economy. They are also setting goals for maintaining demand for imported goods from other nations in the euro zone.
Just last May the parliament of Germany refused to approve plans to reduce taxes by 6 billion euros. Those who opposed this plan felt it was not in the best interest of the nation to approve it when the nation was struggling to balance its budget.
For the more conservative minded individual, cutting taxes to stimulate growth just makes sense. One has to admit though, that not everyone agrees. Some folks seem to believe that the only way to stimulate the economy of any nation would be to spend even more money. Maybe these people should try to balance their own budgets this way.
Small?business news: spending more money to grow a business when it is struggling just does not make sense. Creating more cash flow problems is not the answer to a stable economy. Yes, sometimes it is a step in the right direction to make investments for growth, but overspending is not the answer when the budget is falling apart.
It is never the right thing to do to jeopardize a country?s security, no matter what country we are talking about. There are times when doing so is just an act of treason if these decisions are made with vengeance against the country in question.
Because some people think that Europe is liberal overall, it is often thought that taxes would never be cut here. Nevertheless, there is something that can be learned from history when people just listen.
Because of the economic collapse of recent years, some nations in Europe have been hit hard. Others have learned from experience that entitlements gone awry are not in the best interests of the people. Maybe others in the world should take a hint from what Germany has found out.
Making people dependent of government has its downside. When greater numbers of people are not working, are we not reducing the funds that are used for entitlements? By cursing at the wealthy because of their tenacity to make money, we are causing further societal decay.
What is a nation to do when they find themselves in this situation? Yes, hire those leaders who have a higher calling than mere interest in having their own way.
