Carnival of Personal Finance is "California Dreaming" - CreditCards ...

When you think of California, perhaps images of beaches, Hollywood, the Golden Gate Bridge and "Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure" come to mind. For the latest Carnival of Personal Finance, host Hope to Prosper had the Golden State in his thoughts when he selected the carnival's "California Dreaming" theme.

That carnival -- which includes a collection of finance-related blog posts from around the web -- includes my post, "U.S. economic recession shifted FICO credit scores," in the "economy" category. In keeping with the California theme, that category is designated "Hermosa Beach."

"Hermosa Beach is located in the South Bay area of Los Angeles. Neighboring communities include Redondo Beach and Manhattan Beach," Hope to Prosper writes. "Popular surf breaks include the Redondo Breakwater and the Manhattan and Hermosa Beach piers. Popular tourist destinations include Pier Plaza and The Strand, a beachfront trail that runs the length of all three cities. Popular activities include the AVP Pro Volleyball Tour and the Fiesta Hermosa Arts and Crafts festival."
